LAS Marketplace Ministries is a non-denominational ministry located in Clay County in Orange Park Florida. LAS- Marketplace Ministries is a church without walls. It is the mission, duty and purpose of LAS- Marketplace Ministries to meet the people where they are today. We encourage Christ-filled relationships that will equip others with lasting solutions for their physical, spiritual, and educational needs in order to empower families in the community to rise above their current situation. LAS-Marketplace Ministries work to meet the needs of our community, while expressing God’s love in ways that build relationships and provide opportunities to share God’s plan of salvation. Just as we have all received gifts and talents from God, we must use them to minister to others and to bring glory to God’s name (1 Peter 4:10). Our vision is to love God, love people and disciple nations. We’re doing this by getting outside the walls of our church and spreading the Gospel across the nations (Mark 16:15).
LAS Marketplace Ministry, we envision a ministry where through the power of the Holy Spirit, people are saved, the back-slider renews his/her commitment to the Lord, deliverance from bondage occurs, God’s healing power is released, and miracles are experienced. The saved will be protected, nurtured, strengthened and matured. God will receive all glory, honor and praise.
LAS-Marketplace Ministries is a non-profit corporation and shall operate exclusively for
Religious, educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.
LAS-Marketplace Ministries are reaching those that are incarcerated, hospitalized, institutionalized, and those that are in need of the gospel outside of a traditional church setting. We are teaching the Word of God in order to provide clear guidelines and instructions necessary to develop character and the qualities of Jesus Christ. Teaching all to be responsible for one’s actions, to be accountable to others, and the importance of serving the needs of others as the true trademarks of leadership.
The incarceration of an individual often overlooks the children and family that they may leave behind. As people who work and volunteer in the correctional ministries sphere, it is important to acknowledge that the inmate’s children and families often need assistance with dealing with the family member being away. At LAS- Marketplace Ministries we help men and women replace the cycle of brokenness that landed them in prison. We care for the prisoners and the prisoners’ families and help strengthen the bond between children and their parents who are behind bars. When lives are restored, families are strengthened, communities become safer, and hope is unleashed. This is accomplished by visits to the incarcerated population on a monthly basis. LAS-Marketplace ministries are in 4 different prisons. We have volunteers serving in the following prisons: Florida Reception Center, Lake Butler Reception Center, Florida Women Reception Center and the Duval County Juvenile Center. We get two hours a week at each so the team visits one center a week for monthly visits at each.
